SHO M. Mahesh and SI Vinod of Mangalhat Police Station conducted a cyber crime awareness program at Prakash Traders, aiming to educate citizens about rising online frauds and preventive measures. During the session, officials explained how fraudsters exploit victims through malicious APK files, fake loan apps, OTP scams, online betting, credit card and investment frauds, fake calls impersonating police officials, online delivery scams, Facebook frauds, and fake video call scams.

Police officials stressed the importance of immediately reporting any suspicious activity by calling 1930 and familiarized participants with the newly launched C-Mitra facility, which allows citizens to register complaints and access cyber crime services efficiently. They urged traders and the public to remain vigilant, safeguard personal and financial information, and spread awareness about online safety within families and communities. The initiative is part of Hyderabad Police’s ongoing efforts to combat cyber crime, strengthen public engagement, and ensure citizens are aware of emerging threats in the digital space.
