The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on Tuesday extended the deadline for companies to file financial statements and annual returns for FY 2024-25 to January 31, 2026. The extension, originally set for December 31, follows representations from stakeholders who faced issues with the filing system. The move allows submissions of e-Forms such as MGT-7, MGT-7A, AOC-4, AOC-4 CFS, and related NBFC forms without additional fees. The MCA also confirmed the relaxation of late fees in a circular and reiterated the extension in a post on X, providing companies extra time to complete their annual filings under the Companies Act, 2013.
