The Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, conducted its 107th Convocation Ceremony on Thursday at the MCEME Auditorium in Trimulgherry. B.Tech degrees were awarded to 20 officers of the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) Course-43.
Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his convocation address, he highlighted the significance of character, ethical leadership, and intellectual agility in both military and civil domains. He congratulated the officers and commended the Armed Forces’ performance during Operation Sindoor.
Lt D Subhash was awarded the DGEME Gold Medal and GOC-in-C ARTRAC Trophy for being the Best All-Round Student Officer. Lt Abhinav Nair and Lt Adarsh Kumar Singh received the Commandant’s Silver Medal for topping the Mechanical and Electronics streams respectively.
Lt Gen Neeraj Varshney, VSM, Commandant MCEME, applauded the dedication of the officers and underlined the growing role of advanced technologies—such as AI, robotics, drones, and machine learning—in modern warfare. He stressed that nations possessing technological superiority would lead the future. The ceremony concluded with a display of innovative technical projects developed by the officers, showcasing MCEME’s strong focus on applied research and real-world military solutions.
