Medak completes 86% SIR digitisation

Medak district has completed 86 per cent digitisation of Enumeration Forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, District Collector Prathima Singh said on Thursday.

Reviewing the progress of the SIR exercise with Booth Level Officers (BLOs), supervisors and other officials at the Narsapur Revenue Divisional Office (RDO), the Collector directed officials to ensure the preparation of an accurate and transparent electoral roll.

She instructed BLOs to maintain separate records of deceased voters, permanently migrated voters, duplicate entries and absentee voters for future verification and reference. Stressing the importance of a clean and error-free voters' list, she said such categorisation would help streamline the revision process.

The Collector also emphasised that every eligible citizen should be included in the electoral roll. She directed BLOs to collect the details of voters whose information was missing from the 2002 electoral rolls and ensure that no eligible voter is left out during the revision exercise.

Prathima Singh called for greater diligence and transparency in the verification process, asking officials to complete the remaining digitisation work within the stipulated timeframe. She urged all field-level staff to coordinate closely and follow election guidelines to prepare a comprehensive, accurate and inclusive voters' list for the district.
