Medicover Hitech City saves life of mother and preterm baby

Doctors at Medicover Woman & Child Hospital, Hitech City saved the lives of a 34-year-old pregnant woman and her 27-week preterm baby. The woman was admitted with severe abdominal pain, ascites, proteinuria, pleural effusion and a previous cesarean section history. Such cases carry a high risk of catastrophic bleeding, organ damage, and maternal mortality if not managed immediately.

A team led by Dr. T. Raghu Thejaswi, Consultant High-Risk Obstetrician & Gynecologist, performed a complex emergency cesarean section followed by Cesarean Hysterectomy with Partial Bladder Resection. Speaking about the case, Dr. T. Raghu Thejaswi mentioned that early diagnosis, planning and availability of advanced infrastructure are critical to achieving successful maternal and neonatal outcomes.
