Meru International School hosted its Annual Sports Meet, Meru Enthusia 2026, at the Gachibowli Stadium on Wednesday, marking a grand celebration of sports, discipline and excellence. Conducted over two days, the event brought together enthusiastic students from Grades 3 to 8, reflecting the school’s strong commitment to holistic education through sports and experiential learning.
The sports meet commenced with an opening ceremony featuring the ceremonial torch lighting, release of balloons, and the formal declaration of the meet, followed by the Sports Oath administered by the Principal.
Addressing the gathering, Meghana Gorukanti Jupally, Founder of Meru International School, highlighted the vital role of physical education in character development. She emphasized that fitness goes beyond physical strength, fostering resilience, self-discipline, confidence and the courage to face life’s challenges—qualities that shape responsible and confident individuals.
A key highlight of Meru Enthusia 2026 was the impressive NCC Parade by Grade 8 students, which demonstrated outstanding discipline, precision, coordination, and leadership. This was followed by a thematic tableau showcasing India’s remarkable achievements in sports, instilling a deep sense of national pride and inspiration among students and spectators alike.
Students presented a graceful Yoga performance, underscoring the importance of mindfulness, balance and mental focus as integral aspects of a healthy lifestyle—strongly aligning with the school’s philosophy of nurturing both body and mind.
The competitive spirit shone through a series of well-organised track and field events for Grades 3 to 8, where students displayed exemplary sportsmanship. The much-awaited Parents’ Race added warmth and inclusivity to the event, strengthening the school–parent partnership.
