Labor, Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Wednesday interacted with representatives of the Israeli government and private sector partners to explore employment opportunities for skilled youth from the state. The interaction was facilitated by Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited (TOMCOM) under the Labor and Employment Department, and was held at the TOMCOM office in Masab Tank.

The program focuses on deploying Telangana construction workers to Israel’s renovation sector in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation International (NSDCI) and the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel (PIBA). During the meeting, Israeli delegates held discussions with the Minister and Labor Department officials, outlining potential avenues for skilled workers and the scope for expanding such collaborations.

A pre-skill assessment was conducted from November 17 to 19, 2025, for a total of 4,247 candidates, out of which 2,059 successfully qualified.  The final skill assessment for 1,200 shortlisted candidates is currently being conducted from May 5 to 10, 2026 under phase-I.
