Hyderabad In-Charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Thursday said that the Chief Minister is giving special emphasis to the development of civic infrastructure in Greater Hyderabad as part of a comprehensive urban development strategy aimed at improving public amenities.
The Minister inaugurated the GHMC Children’s Play Park at Jubilee Hills Road No. 45, developed at a cost of Rs 3.10 crore. The event was attended by the Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan and Zonal Commissioner Priyanka Ala. The park has been developed on a vacant land measuring 1 acre and 40 guntas between Jubilee Hills Road Nos. 44 and 45. Speaking on the occasion, Ponnam Prabhakar said the transformation of the unused land into a modern recreational facility reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening civic infrastructure.
He said the park has been equipped with several amenities, including a rainwater storage facility with a capacity of 10 lakh litres, walking track, yoga areas, tennis court and landscaped gardens. Separate zones have been created for children’s play and pets. The Minister said the park would provide a healthy and pleasant environment for residents, particularly children, and urged the public to make proper use of the facility. GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said the park would significantly improve opportunities for walking, exercise and recreation for local residents.
