Union Minister Kishan Reddy on Monday inspected Gandhi Hospital and inquired about the hospital premises and details related to each department of the building from the hospital superintendent and other medical staff. He also visited the oxygen plant that was started during the Covid pandemic period.
He personally inspected the hospital buildings and their maintenance and suggested that the drain system in the hospital be improved. Later he inquired about the maintenance, the number of vacancies & number of doctors working at the hospital, what surgeries were currently being performed, the medical tests being done and the number of posts under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that he inquired about the services being offered to the patients and also the facilities available at the hospital from its superintendent. He said PM Narendra Modi had asked him to visit the hospitals in all constituencies to create awareness among people and alert the health staff in the wake of a sudden increase in the corona virus cases. He said there was a need to fill up the posts of RMO at the Gandhi hospital and added that several new medical wings were going to be started at the hospital.
Stating that the Ayushmann Bharat scheme health cards are being issued on the basis of the Aadhar cards of the eligible people, he said the patients can avail medical services at the Gandhi hospital by using these cards. Reminding that two oxygen plants have been set up at the Gandhi hospital during the corona pandemic period, he said the plants were still working at the hospital.
