Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh on Tuesday held the 78th day of his Praja Darbar at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Visakhapatnam, directly interacting with citizens and receiving petitions related to a wide range of grievances. The initiative continues to serve as a platform for people to place their issues before the Minister and seek timely intervention.
During the Praja Darbar, Lokesh patiently heard representations from individuals and groups facing administrative, land, and welfare-related problems. Lankireddy Satheeshwara Reddy, a retired Training Officer who served at the Old ITI in Kancharapalem, Visakhapatnam, requested the Minister’s intervention to ensure the early release of his pending retirement benefits. The Minister assured him that the matter would be taken up with the concerned departments.
Gali Durgamma from Guttainadeevi village in I. Polavaram mandal of Konaseema district complained that her 20 cents of land had been encroached upon, causing severe hardship. She appealed for a thorough inquiry and justice. Similarly, land oustees from Krishnapalem village in Rambilli mandal of Anakapalli district highlighted long-pending rehabilitation issues linked to land acquisition carried out by APIIC in 2008 under the VCIC Phase-I industrial development project.
In another case, S. Venkata Lavanya alleged that her Flat No. 70 in the APHB layout at Visakhapatnam had been illegally occupied using forged documents and sought legal relief.
Minister Nara Lokesh assured all petitioners that their grievances would be examined carefully and necessary steps would be taken to resolve the issues in a fair and transparent manner.
