Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy has directed Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to ensure the successful implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls without any lapses. The MLA held meetings with BRS BLAs at various locations in the constituency to explain the importance of the SIR program and encourage public participation.
The discussions covered procedures for enrolling eligible citizens whose names were absent from the 2002 electoral rolls, cases where only some members of a family were listed while others were omitted, technical issues in the ECINET portal that displayed incorrect booth details, instances where eligible voters with voter identity cards had not received enumeration forms, and concerns that elderly citizens could lose their voting rights due to non-receipt of the forms.
The MLA explained to the BLAs that Form 6 should be used for the registration of new voters, Form 7 for the deletion of names of deceased or duplicate voters, and Form 8 for corrections or updates to personal details. Pointing out that only two weeks remain for the completion of the SIR, the MLA asked BLAs to intensify their fieldwork by completing the distribution of enumeration forms, registering new voters, updating records of shifted voters and removing the names of deceased voters.
Later, the MLA performed the groundbreaking ceremony for an underground drainage project at Raghava Kalyani Estate in Yapral. The project, estimated to cost Rs 4 lakh, is aimed at improving the area's drainage infrastructure.
