Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy on Saturday met Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed at Metro Rail Bhavan and submitted a series of representations seeking modifications to the HMDA Master Plan. One of the key demands raised by the MLA was the removal of the proposed 60-metre-wide road in the master plan passing through Survey Nos. 11, 35, 50 and 56 in Koukur. The MLA also requested that the proposed 60-foot-wide road on the Meerjalguda–Chinmaya Marg route in Gautam Nagar Division be reduced to 30 feet.

He stated that the existing proposal has created difficulties for residents in utilizing their land, obtaining building permissions and undertaking development activities. MLA Rajasekhar Reddy further  urged the HMDA to remove the proposed 100-foot-wide road connecting AS Rao Nagar to Neredmet and also the speedy execution of CRMP road construction and development works across the Malkajgiri assembly constituency. The Commissioner reportedly assured the MLA that the issues raised would be examined and that appropriate action would be taken in accordance with the rules and planning requirements.
