MP Arvind Dharmapuri dedicates Jankampet goods shed to nation

Member of Parliament, Nizamabad Arvind Dharmapuri inaugurated and dedicated the Jankampet goods shed in Telangana to the nation on Thursday. D.S Rama Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and other senior railway officials were present on the occasion. MP Arvind stated that the budget outlay in the State has increased by more than 20 times since 2014 to presently reach Rs. 5,454 crores in the current financial year 2026-27. 

The MP stated that the goods shed has been developed with a cost of Rs. 9 crores and mentioned that currently the main consignments being loaded at the shed are rice, maize and jowari while the unloading consists of fertilizers and cement.

A. Sridhar, Chief Public Relations Officer/South Central Railway stated that the Jankampet goods shed will further strengthen the freight infrastructure in the region and facilitate smooth freight operations. Works for construction of Hamal room and Merchant room are progressing at a fast pace, he added.
