Mahabubnagar:To ease worsening traffic congestion in Mahabubnagar, MP DK Aruna and MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy met Union Minister of State for Railways, Somanna, in New Delhi, urging immediate construction of Railway Over Bridges (ROBs).

They explained that multiple railway gates within town limits are causing long traffic jams, affecting school children, office-goers, traders, and delaying emergency services. The lack of road–rail separation has become a major public concern as gate closures stretch for long periods, severely impacting daily life.

The leaders requested ROBs at Tirumala Devuni Gutta, Boyapalli, and Timmasanipalli railway gates, fully funded by the Central Government. They also sought Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) at Saddalagundu and Divitipalli for pedestrian safety.

Minister Somanna responded positively, assuring that the projects would be taken up with 100% central funding.
