Hyderabad: The students and the management of NASR Girls School, Khairatabad showed a gesture towards the wildlife conservation and welfare on Wednesday. In this connection, Nawab Mir Khutubuddin Khan, Chairman, NASR Education Society; Begum Salwa Khan, Director ; Mir Mohiuddin Mohammed, Director Academics, & Principal NASR School; Mir Jamaluddin Hammad, Executive Director Finance, NASR Education Society along with students and management visited Nehru Zoological Park and presented a cheque of Rupees three lakhs to J. Vasantha, Curator, of the zoo towards the adoption of a male African lion namely Krithin aged about 7 years for a period of 1 year.
Speaking on the occasion, Nawab Mir Khutubuddin Khan thanked the zoo management for giving an opportunity to adopt a wild species. He informed that an amount of rupees three lakhs has been generated by the students of NASR Girls School, staff and the management by organizing an exhibition stalls within their School Campus area. J. Vasantha, Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, thanked the NASR Education Society and in particular NASR Girls School, Khairatabad for raising funds towards the adoption of African Lion – Krithin at Nehru Zoological Park, benefitting from its animal adoption scheme.
