Paisalo Digital approves fund raise through preferential issue, FPIs amongst proposed allottees

Recently, the company successfully raised the first tranche of USD$ 50 Million of issuance of Secured Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds as per applicable ECB guidelines set forth by the Reserve Bank of India.

Paisalo Digital has announced that its board has approved raising of up to Rs. 258.16 crore through preferential issue of convertible warrants at a price of Rs. 58.20 per warrant, to non-promoter group entities. FPIs UNICO Global Opportunities Fund Limited & NOVA Global Opportunities Fund PCC-TOUCHSTONE are amongst proposed allottees. 

Recently, the company announced that its board has Approved the allotment of 600 Listed Commercial Papers (CPs) of the Face Value of Rs. 5,00,000 each aggregating to Rs. 29.20 Cr through Private Placement to IDBI Bank Ltd.

Recently, the company successfully raised the first tranche of USD$ 50 Million of issuance of Secured Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds as per applicable ECB guidelines set forth by the Reserve Bank of India.

The FCCB is a 7.5% secured instrument with a maturity of five years, due in 2029, offering investors the flexibility to convert their holdings into fully paid-up equity shares or retain them until maturity.

This strategic initiative underscores Paisalo's commitment to fostering growth and maintaining financial resilience amidst a dynamic market environment. The funds raised through this issuance will be instrumental in advancing Paisalo's vision of empowering India’s vast under-banked population by providing accessible and inclusive financial solutions.

Earlier, the company reported earnings for the quarter and half year ended 30 September 2024. Assets Under Management (AUM) stood at Rs. 45,352 Mn, recording a growth of 19% YoY. Revenue jumped 33% YoY to Rs. 3736 Mn. Net worth came in at Rs. 14,181 Mn, growing 14% YoY. PAT was reported at Rs. 914 Mn, growing 6% YoY.
