“Parkinson’s Day” observed at Continental Hospitals with “patient connect”

Continental Hospitals hosted a “Patient Connect Initiative” commemorating “World Parkinson’s Day” on April 11, 2026. The initiative brought together patients and their family members with a multi-disciplinary team of Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Rehabilitation Specialists and Nutritionists, providing a platform for a comprehensive exchange of expert opinions on Parkinson’s, its management, treatment options, nutritional requirements and rehabilitation support.

Continental Hospitals Founder & Chairman Dr Guru N Reddy noted that at Continental every case is discussed by neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, and geneticists, weighing the pros and cons of a treatment plan and shared with patient’s and their families,” he reiterated. Senior consultant neurologist and movement disorders specialist Dr Chakradhar Reddy underlined the wide spectrum of signs & symptoms associated with Parkinson’s and offered an excellent insight into how to handle the condition in a holistic manner.

Director of the Centre for Endoscopic Neurosurgery Dr Hrishikesh Sarkar highlighted the role of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson’s treatment and underlined Continental Hospitals’ advanced neurosurgical capabilities with excellent outcomes for patients who have undergone DBS.
