Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called upon Hindus to recognize their religious responsibility and raise their voice whenever Hindu gods and traditions are deliberately insulted. He stressed that remaining silent in the face of mockery or disrespect towards dharma only weakens collective faith and cultural identity.
Addressing concerns over growing instances of ridicule against Hindu beliefs, Pawan Kalyan urged a change in the mindset of the average Hindu devotee. He said fear, indifference, or the tendency to ignore such issues in the name of convenience must be abandoned. “While we have deep respect and devotion towards God, we often choose to remain quiet when our faith is mocked. This attitude needs to change,” he observed.
Elaborating on his views, the Deputy Chief Minister said that although society may be divided on the basis of caste, region, language, or community, the core of Hindu dharma remains the same for all. “Our gods are one, our traditions are one, and our faith binds us together. When someone intentionally demeans our beliefs, it is our duty to express our anguish and stand up for our values,” he remarked.
He further emphasized that silence during such critical moments weakens the moral strength of society. According to him, every Hindu should move beyond being a passive devotee and act as a conscious protector of faith and traditions. “It is not enough to feel hurt privately and leave everything to karma. Collective expression and awareness are essential to safeguard dharma,” he said. Pawan Kalyan also clarified that protecting Hindu dharma does not mean opposing other religions. “Standing up for our beliefs is not about hatred or intolerance. It is about preserving our own traditions, culture, and identity with dignity and self-respect,” he explained.
He appealed to Hindus to shed lethargy and unite in protecting their religious heritage. Through a social media message, he reiterated that only through awareness and collective resolve can the respect and sanctity of Hindu dharma be preserved for future generations.
