Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday announced that the People’s Government has allocated an unprecedented Rs 20,000 crore for the development of Hyderabad city over a span of just two years, marking the largest-ever exclusive investment for the city in the state’s history. He said several projects under this allocation have already been completed, while many others are progressing rapidly.

Addressing a gathering as the chief guest at the CREDAI Property Exhibition Show held at HITEX, the Deputy Chief Minister outlined the scale and vision of Hyderabad’s transformation. Of the total allocation, Rs 1,950.52 crore has been earmarked under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Rs 12,500 crore under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and Rs 4,365 crore under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.

He stated that Hyderabad is now competing not only with leading Indian cities but also with global cities in terms of investments, talent attraction, and quality of life. A major milestone in this journey, he said, was the merger of 27 surrounding municipalities into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, calling it a historic decision that enables uniform civic services, integrated planning, and a unified development vision within the Outer Ring Road region.

Highlighting infrastructure initiatives, the Deputy Chief Minister said that under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure Programme (H-CITI), works worth over Rs 7,032 crore are underway, including 45 flyovers and underpasses and 10 road widening projects across the city. Significant investments are also being made in traffic decongestion around KBR Park, the western knowledge corridor, and the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the city to ensure balanced development with no area left behind.

He emphasised that these investments are reducing travel time, improving logistics, boosting economic activity, enhancing land values, and most importantly, improving the daily lives of citizens. Under the Telangana Rising Vision 2047, the government is pursuing long-term, people-centric planning through comprehensive stormwater, mobility, and blue-green master plans to ensure climate resilience and sustainable growth.

The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government is committed to transforming Hyderabad into the most liveable, investment-friendly, and well-governed city in the country, built on transparency, social justice, and democratic values.

Uttam outlines Vision for Hyderabad's Real Estate Future

Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy has emphasized the state government's steadfast commitment to accelerating Hyderabad's real estate growth, infrastructure development, and investor-friendly policies.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has inaugurated the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 at HITEX Exhibition Centre. Uttam was also present.

Speaking on the occasion to a packed audience of developers, builders, homebuyers, and industry leaders at the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show, Uttam emphasised that the Congress government views the real estate sector as true "partners in progress."  He highlighted ongoing efforts to streamline approvals, resolve permission delays (including irrigation-related NOCs), and boost Hyderabad's emergence as one of India's fastest-growing global cities through massive infrastructure investments.

As a native Hyderabadi, Minister Uttam reminisced about his roots, recalling that his father once owned agricultural land in what are now the bustling localities of Sri Nagar Colony and Panjagutta. "Hyderabad is our life," he declared, highlighting the deep emotional and cultural bond many share with the city.

The Minister assured CREDAI  of unwavering backing from the Congress government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, whom he described as "dynamic" and "readily accessible". He invited industry representatives to offer guidance and feedback, emphasizing the government's openness to corrections. "We are willing to correct our steps to ensure that Hyderabad becomes a truly global destination," he said.

Uttam commended the ongoing initiatives by the Chief Minister, A Revath Reddy and Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu to draw major investments in IT, industry, hospitality, tourism, and other sectors, which frequently make headlines and fuel Hyderabad's expansion. He outlined the government's goal to make Hyderabad "better and better" — more livable, more affordable, and supported by world-class infrastructure.

Proactive Measures

"We will create world-class infrastructure. We will ensure flawless law and order. We will also ensure the best possible business atmosphere for real estate and Hyderabad to grow beyond anybody's imagination," he pledged. Responding to concerns from developers — especially on irrigation-related approvals and NOCs — Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy committed to swift reforms in his portfolio. "Several suggestions have come to me about making it online and making it less interactive, also to make it less painful for you. I assure you that within the next week to10 days, we will take many proactive measures," he announced.
