The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone team along with Domalguda Police arrested 12 people gang and seized materials worth Rs 1,20,00,000 crore on Sunday. 

Arrested persons identified as Indrajit Ghorai (main accused), Altaf Mohammed Khan, Syed Irfan Ahmed, Mohammed Noor Ullah, Habeeb Hussain, Shaik Shabbir, Mohammed Arbaaz, Shoaib Khan, Gulam Maqdum, Shaik Osman, Shaik Allauddin and Shaik Akram who were part of a gang involved in dacoity case vide Cr.No.393/2024 U/s. 310(2) BNS of Domalguda PS which occurred on December 12.

Police team seized gold ornaments total weighing about 1228.00 grams, silver ornaments total weight 616 grams, brass material total weight 2kg, net cash Rs 2,90,000, one watch, Innova Car, one lighter gun, one broad curve axe, two medium size axe, two knives, six big size sickles and 13 mobile phones from the arrested gang. Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C V Anand said the dacoity was planned by Indrajit Ghorai (43) who is younger brother of the victim Ranjeet Ghorai, to earn easy money.

“Indrajit sought help of an advocate and a group of criminals to execute the dacoity. As per plan on December 12, the gang went to the house of the victim and after threatening the occupants’ looted gold and silver ornaments,” said Commissioner.
