The 359th ``Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji (Birthday Celebrations)'', the tenth and last Sikh Guru and founder of Khalsa Panth concluded on Sunday with thousands of Sikh devotees and other community faiths celebrating it with devotion and offering prayers to Sri Guru Granth Sahebji.
The major attraction of the concluding celebrations was organised under the aegis of Prabhandak Committee of Gurdwara Saheb Secunderabad where hundreds of Sikh devotees and other community faith participated in the ''Vishaal Diwan '' (Mass Congregation) by offering prayers to Guru Granth SahIb Ji (Holy Scripture of Sikhs) at Tivoli Gardens, Secunderabad.
The Prabhandak Committee President S. Baldev Singh Bagga, General Secretary S Jagmohan Singh and Secretary S Harpreet Singh Gulati said that congregation began this morning at 10.30 AM continued up to 3.30 PM and was marked by the recitations of Gurubani Keertans and Kathas (Holy Hymns) by the renowned and reputed Ragi Jathas (Sikh Preachers).
Reputed Ragi Jathas who were specially invited from various parts of the country for the important occasion recited Shabad Keertans that stressed on imbibing the higher values of life and communal harmony for which Guru Gobind Singh Devji strived. They urged devotees to follow the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Devji which are very relevant these days. After the culmination of the congregation the traditional Guru-Ka-Langar (free community kitchen) was served to all the devotees.
