In view of forecasts predicting heavy rainfall across Hyderabad and surrounding areas, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to remain on high alert and ensure swift, coordinated action to prevent inconvenience to citizens.
The Chief Minister instructed all departments functioning under the Hyderabad Core Urban Region (CURE) framework to be fully prepared to respond to any rain related emergencies. He emphasized close coordination among the Police, Traffic Police, Municipal Administration, HYDRAA, Electricity, Water Board, and other concerned departments to ensure an effective and seamless response.
Reviewing the situation with senior officials, including the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Special Chief Secretary of CURE, and other top officers, the Chief Minister called for measures to be taken on a war footing. He stressed the need for continuous monitoring of weather conditions and prompt action wherever required.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to deploy field teams in advance in vulnerable and low lying areas identified through rain forecasting and weather intelligence. Special attention has been ordered for locations prone to waterlogging, traffic congestion, and flooding, with officials instructed to take preventive measures before problems arise. The Chief Minister underlined that public safety and convenience must remain the top priority during the rainy spell. He instructed all departments to maintain round the clock vigilance, strengthen emergency response systems, and ensure that civic services are not disrupted.
The State government is closely monitoring the evolving weather situation and has directed all agencies to remain fully prepared to address any challenges arising from heavy rainfall.
