Ranga Prasad shortlisted for ‘Pride of Telangana’ award

Metro India News | Hyderabad : Hyderabad-based environmentalist and rainwater harvesting expert Ranga Prasad has been shortlisted for the prestigious "Pride of Telangana" award in the 'Sustainability' category. Voting is open from September 9 to 24, with the award going to the nominee securing the highest number of votes.

Prasad has been working on environmental conservation since 2009 and has focused on rainwater conservation and groundwater augmentation in Hyderabad since 2016. Through his organisation HydRainHarvest, he has implemented hundreds of rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge projects across the city.

Besides creating new recharge pits, he has also worked to identify, revive and maintain neglected or defunct harvesting pits.
