Tensions in Telangana's Manakondur Assembly constituency have reached boiling point as a verbal war between sitting Congress MLA Kavvampalli Satyanarayana and former BRS MLA Rasamayi Balakishan escalates into widespread protests, police complaints, and threats of further confrontation. The latest flashpoint: a leaked audio clip purportedly featuring Rasamayi unleashing a barrage of abusive language and personal attacks against Kavvampalli and his family, which went viral on social media on Thursday, igniting outrage among Congress supporters.

The audio, whose authenticity remains unverified but is widely attributed to Rasamayi, includes severe criticisms and threats. In it, Rasamayi accuses Kavvampalli of speaking "like someone who's taken drugs at night," mocks his language as unbecoming of a doctor or professor, and warns, "If you don't change your style, I'll come to your office and beat you up." He also challenges the MLA to a public debate to compare their records—Rasamayi's decade-long tenure versus Kavvampalli's two years in office. The clip's explicit vulgarity has drawn sharp condemnation from netizens, who decry the degradation of political discourse into "petty fights" rather than public service.

In response, Congress leaders filed complaints across multiple police stations, leading to a case being registered at Thimmapur station under relevant sections for abusive language and threats. Kavvampalli's followers also approached the Karimnagar Commissioner of Police, demanding swift action. By Friday, the backlash spilled onto the streets: Protests erupted in Karimnagar district headquarters and mandal centers including Manakondur, Shankarapatnam, Thimmapur, Ganneruvaram, Illanthakunta, and Bejjanki. Demonstrators burned effigies of Rasamayi, chanting slogans against him. In a dramatic escalation, Congress activists attempted to besiege Rasamayi's farmhouse in Gundaram village, Bejjanki mandal, but were thwarted by police intervention. The standoff lasted two hours, creating a tense atmosphere amid fears of violence.

This incident is part of a long-simmering rivalry between the two leaders, marked by mutual accusations of corruption, neglect, and political sabotage. Earlier episodes, including Rasamayi's claims of Kavvampalli siphoning funds from schemes like CMRF and Aarogyasri, have fueled similar challenges and farmhouse siege attempts. Political observers warn that the feud, pitting BRS against Congress, could intensify local divisions and disrupt governance in the constituency.

As investigations proceed, both sides remain defiant. Rasamayi has yet to publicly address the audio, while Kavvampalli's camp insists on accountability. With social media amplifying the drama, residents of Manakondur brace for potential further unrest in this high-stakes political battle.
