In another milestone for Andhra Pradesh’s industrial resurgence, the Raymond Group has committed investments worth Rs 1,000 crore for establishing two major manufacturing projects in the Sri Satya Sai District, focusing on aerospace and automotive components. Together, the projects are set to create over 5,400 direct jobs, propelling the state into a new era of high-technology manufacturing.
This marks the first aerospace investment under the state’s new Aerospace Policy, underscoring Andhra Pradesh’s growing status as a destination for advanced industries. The approvals, formalized through G.O. Ms. No. 196 and G.O. Ms. No. 197 of the Industries and Commerce Department, included a Rs 700-crore subsidy package under the Industrial and Aerospace Policy to facilitate project rollout.
Raymond Group’s subsidiary, JK Maini Global Aerospace Limited, will set up a Rs 510-crore aerospace manufacturing facility that will generate 1,400 direct jobs. The plant will produce precision components for global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers, integrating Andhra Pradesh into the global aerospace supply chain. Production is expected to begin by May 2027.
A second project, by JK Maini Precision Technology Ltd, will invest Rs 430 crore in an advanced automotive component unit at Gudipalli, creating 4,096 jobs. The plant will serve leading Indian and international automobile manufacturers, boosting local employment and skill development.
The approvals followed discussions at the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, based on recommendations from the State Investment Promotion Committee. The Industries Department will facilitate implementation through the Single Desk Portal 2.0 and a dedicated Project Management Unit, ensuring swift approvals under the “Speed of Doing Business” initiative.
Celebrating the announcement on social media, Minister for IT Nara Lokesh posted, “... and the A in #Anantapur stands for Aerospace and Automotive! #YoungestState HighestInvestment,” reflecting confidence in the district’s industrial potential.
