Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to expedite the regularisation of pending houses and house sites across districts and place unresolved cases before the Cabinet for approval.

Reviewing departmental performance at the RTGS Centre, Naidu said the issue had remained unresolved for years in several districts and should be settled without further delay.

“Prepare district-wise lists of houses and house sites requiring regularisation. Cases that can be resolved locally should be completed at the district level, while unresolved matters should be brought before the Cabinet,” he said.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to collect details from district collectors and present dispute-free cases before every Cabinet meeting. He also directed the Housing and Finance departments to coordinate and clear pending Housing Department bills.

Naidu further ordered strict action against illegal sand transportation and directed officials to prevent sand mined in Andhra Pradesh from being transported to other states. Vehicles involved in illegal transport should be seized, he said.

Calling for greater use of technology, the Chief Minister asked officials to track sand-laden vehicles and develop an instant alert system to detect illegal movement. He noted that around 50,000 vehicles were already under GPS monitoring and directed mining and police departments to coordinate closely. He also stressed the need to effectively communicate government welfare and development programmes to the public.
