Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of reacting out of frustration following the successful three day visit of BJP National President Nitin Nabin to Telangana. He alleged that the overwhelming response during the visit had unsettled the Congress leadership. He claimed the Chief Minister's remarks reflected political insecurity.

In an informal interaction with the media at the state office in Nampally, Ramchander Rao said the BJP had exposed the alleged "RR Tax" and corruption under the Congress government, forcing the Chief Minister onto the defensive. He also alleged that concerns had been raised over the handling of the proposed Musi Riverfront project and accused the state government of diverting public resources for political purposes. According to him, the BJP's call for a "Congress Mukt Telangana" had resonated strongly with the people.

Throwing an open challenge to the Chief Minister, Ramchander Rao said the BJP was ready for a public debate outside the Telangana Secretariat on the development initiatives undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre versus what he described as the failures of the Congress government in Telangana. He said the BJP would even arrange chairs and umbrellas if required, urging the Chief Minister to discuss development before the people instead of making personal remarks.

The BJP leader claimed that the unprecedented participation in the party's organisational meetings across Hyderabad and Warangal had demonstrated the growing public support for the BJP. He said Congress and BRS leaders were unable to digest the party's expanding organisational strength and suggested they watch recordings of the meetings to understand the response received from workers and the public.

Expressing confidence that the BJP would emerge as the next ruling party in Telangana, Ramchander Rao thanked MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Morcha leaders and party workers for strengthening the organisation during his one year as state president. He asserted that public support for the BJP would continue to grow leading up to the next Assembly elections.
