In a significant step towards ensuring land rights and resolving long-pending grievances, the district administration has successfully addressed 96% of petitions received during the 33-day-long Revenue Sadassulu (Grievance Meetings), District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha announced.
During the meetings, a total of 3,111 petitions were submitted, out of which 3,015 cases have been resolved, reflecting a proactive approach to governance and citizen service. The collector assured that efforts are ongoing to provide permanent solutions to land-related issues, instilling confidence among the public regarding their property rights.
Key areas of resolution included 105 petitions for Land Record Updates (Record of Rights - ROR), of which 102 were resolved, and 137 out of 148 Resurvey Requests addressed. Government Land Assignment Issues saw seven out of eight grievances resolved, House Site Assignments had 269 out of 272 applications settled, and 102 out of 105 petitions for 22A Land Classification Changes were resolved.
Dr. Lakshmisha attributed the district’s efficiency in resolving petitions to a meticulous review process, direct communication with field officers, robust inter-departmental coordination, and strict auditing measures. He emphasized that any remaining issues would be addressed through a specialized action plan to remove obstacles and ensure timely resolutions.
He urged officials to maintain the same commitment and diligence in grievance redressal and continue to play an active role in delivering citizen-centric governance.
The meeting was attended by DRO M. Lakshmi Narasimham, Special Officer for Village and Ward Secretariats G. Jyothi, Collectorate Land Section Superintendent C.H. Durgaprasad, and Coordination Section Superintendent Chandramouli, among others.
