Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday held a high-level review meeting to assess the progress of construction activities by both public and private institutions in the capital region of Amaravati. The review focused on the current status of lands allotted for business establishments, educational institutions, hotels, offices, and other key development projects.
Senior executives, promoters, and officials from various companies and institutions that have been allotted land participated in the meeting. Chief Minister Naidu directly questioned stakeholders on when they intend to start construction and when the projects would be completed. Emphasizing accountability, he made it clear that there would be no tolerance for delays under any circumstances.
So far, the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has allotted 947 acres to 72 organizations in Amaravati. These include schools, banks, universities, hotels, healthcare institutions, government offices, religious bodies, IT parks, and tech firms.
During the review, CM Naidu assured the representatives that the government would ensure a hassle-free and expedited permissions process, warning that any bottlenecks in approvals should be brought to his notice directly. “There will be no scope for red tape. If there is any delay in approvals, inform me immediately,” he told the stakeholders.
Firm on timelines, the Chief Minister declared that all entities allotted land in Amaravati must commence and complete construction within the agreed period. “Delays due to any reason will not be accepted,” he warned, urging full commitment from all organizations involved.
As per the discussions, three companies have assured to begin construction within one month, 15 companies said they will begin within two months, 13 companies within five months, and 17 companies within six months. The state government is collecting clear action plans from each organization, securing firm timelines and written assurances.
