A Hyderabad businessman has alleged that he was cheated and threatened by notorious rowdy sheeter Ayub Khan and his associate Mohd. Farooq over a failed business deal. The victim claims the accused pressured him into handing over money and gold under false pretences, and later used intimidation to stop him from approaching the police.
The incident dates back to 2024, when the complainant was persuaded into a business partnership and invested Rs 4,70,000. The accused allegedly misappropriated the profits and obtained gold ornaments, approximately six tolas, from the victim on the pretext of clearing debts. These ornaments were later mortgaged and not returned.
In January 2025, when the complainant sought settlement of his dues, Ayub Khan allegedly threatened him with dire consequences, discouraging him from filing a complaint at that time. The victim has now come forward to report the matter.
Crime No. 47/2026 has been registered at Shahalibanda Police Station against Ayub Khan and Mohd. Farooq. Ayub Khan, a notorious rowdy sheeter with 79 cases against him, is being pursued by special police teams.
DCP of Charminar Zone, Kiran Khare IPS, emphasized zero tolerance for intimidation, extortion, and organized threats. Citizens are urged to provide information on Ayub Khan’s activities, with confidentiality assured.
