Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday reiterated the state government's commitment to building a welfare-oriented state and empowering youth through quality education and skill development.

After inspecting the proposed sites for the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Knowledge Centre near Lower Tank Bund and the Nimboli Adda Hostel in Kachiguda, Bhatti announced that the government has already sanctioned both financial and administrative approvals for the projects. The Ambedkar Knowledge Centre will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 110 crore, while Rs 25 crore has been sanctioned for the modernisation of the historic Nimboli Adda Hostel.

Accompanied by Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar and public representatives, the Deputy Chief Minister said these institutions are not merely buildings but "modern temples of knowledge" aimed at transforming the lives of thousands of students and unemployed youth.

The Ambedkar Knowledge Centre will comprise a cellar, ground floor and ten additional floors, housing study circles, a digital library, advanced conference halls and other modern facilities. Bhatti said the government plans to establish Ambedkar Knowledge Centres in every Assembly constituency and connect them digitally with the Hyderabad centre. Through this network, students across the state will receive free coaching from leading faculty without having to relocate to Hyderabad.

He said the initiative would significantly reduce the financial burden on students from poor, backward, marginalised, and middle-class families who often struggle with accommodation and coaching expenses.

Bhatti also announced that ₹5 crore has already been released for the demolition of the existing structure at the Tank Bund site. He noted that although the project foundation was laid in 2016, it remained incomplete under the previous government.

The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that the historic Nimboli Adda Hostel, which has nurtured generations of students, will be upgraded into a modern facility, fulfilling a long-standing aspiration of Dalit and underprivileged communities.
