Savitribai Phule Jayanthi was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Disneyland High School at Oglapur near Warangal on Saturday, marking the 195th birth anniversary of India’s first woman teacher, Savitribai Phule. The program began with the school founders D. Sadaiah and B.Lakshminivasam, along with directors Balugu Shobharani and D.Meena Dinesh garlanding the portrait of Savitribai Phule. 

Speaking at the meeting organized on this occasion, Correspondent Shobharani, Director Meena Dinesh and women teachers stated that in earlier times women were confined to household duties and were not allowed to step outside but today women are progressing in all fields on par with men and are even travelling to space.
