A small setback occurred in the early hours of  Sunday in ISRO’s journey with a track record of undeniable achievements. The PSLV C-61 rocket took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 5.59 am in early hours of Sunday.

EoS-09 satellite was launched into orbit by this rocket. However, a small technical problem arose shortly after the rocket took off. ISRO chairman Narayanan confirmed the anomaly, stating, "First two stages performed as expected. In the third stage, we observed less chamber pressure. The mission could not be accomplished".

RISAT launched under the name OF EOS-09. Scientists say the 1B Earth Observation Satellite is the most powerful. In the next five years, ISRO is all set to launch a large number of surveillance satellites to protect the country. The EOS-09 satellite will help the tri-services during army operations to monitor the borders, track the movement of enemies and track the movement of enemies. EOS-09 was launched as an alternative to the EOS-04 satellite launched in 2022.
