Silicon Labs hosted the grand finale of its Edge Intelligence Challenge at T-Hub, Hyderabad, showcasing student innovation in AIoT.

Launched in September 2025 in collaboration with IEEE, the nationwide program drew over 450 applications from institutions across India. After multi-stage evaluation, 11 finalist teams were shortlisted and mentored using Silicon Labs’ hardware platforms and technical guidance.

Final presentations featured teams from BITS Hyderabad and Goa, SSN Chennai, Mahindra University, GITAM Hyderabad, Stanley College Hyderabad, Puducherry Technological University, and Sri Eshwar College of Engineering.

Winners were announced after jury evaluation: first place went to Project Trinova from Stanley College, Hyderabad; second place to Aura Sense from BITS Goa; and third place to DuoX from Sri Eshwar College, Coimbatore.

The Technical Excellence Award was given to Safe Haven from Mahindra University, Hyderabad.

Projects addressed real-world challenges including healthcare monitoring, agriculture solutions, smart homes, and industrial IoT use cases such as predictive maintenance and anomaly detection. The focus was on low-power edge AI systems enabling real-time decision-making without heavy cloud dependency.

Silicon Labs said the initiative highlights India’s growing deep-tech ecosystem and encourages scalable innovation in edge intelligence today.
