State IT, Industries and Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu took part in the final day of the municipal election campaign in Manthani and expressed confidence that the Congress party would emerge victorious in the town. A roadshow was organised from the statue of Sripada Rao to Ambedkar Chowk as part of the campaign activities.
Addressing the gathering, Sridhar Babu said the Congress-led state government was moving forward by effectively implementing welfare schemes and ensuring that benefits reached poor families directly without corruption. He stated that the government was committed to further developing Manthani town in the coming days and strengthening civic infrastructure.
The minister said that with the support of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, substantial funds had been brought to the Manthani Assembly constituency. He added that if voters elected all 13 Congress municipal candidates, the town would receive higher allocations, leading to faster development. He urged people to vote for candidates who work for public welfare, stating that voting for opposition parties would be a waste.
Sridhar Babu highlighted several welfare initiatives, including Indiramma housing for the homeless poor and women empowerment through DWCRA groups. He said the government’s goal was to make one crore women millionaires by providing interest-free loans and livelihood support. He also noted that sewing machines were being distributed to help women become financially independent.
Referring to civic services, the minister said construction of the Manthani municipal office was already underway and assured that applications received from the public would be processed quickly. He also mentioned that a five-bed dialysis centre had been set up in Manthani and that construction of a new 50-bed hospital near the MPDO office was progressing and would be completed soon. Appealing to voters, Sridhar Babu called upon the people of Manthani to vote for the Congress party symbol and ensure a clear victory for all 13 ward candidates. Several Congress candidates, senior leaders, Youth Congress members, women leaders and party supporters participated in the programme.
