A 15-day Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme (ESDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative was inaugurated at Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women, Hyderabad, in collaboration with AIC ALEAP WE-HUB.
The programme is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, MSME development and startup creation among women engineering students. It also focuses on building awareness of funding opportunities, business planning and startup ecosystem support systems. Organisers said the initiative is designed to help students convert innovative ideas into viable business ventures through structured training and mentorship.
Speaking at the inaugural session, ALEAP President K. Rama Devi encouraged women students to become job creators rather than job seekers. She highlighted the importance of innovation-led entrepreneurship and assured continued support through ALEAP initiatives and the RAMP programme.
AIC ALEAP WE-HUB Managing Director and Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Zahoorullah S. motivated students to pursue entrepreneurial aspirations with confidence. He said promising ideas emerging from the programme would be considered for incubation and funding support under various schemes.
The programme will run for 15 days, during which participants will receive training in startup development, MSME opportunities, innovation management, intellectual property rights, funding mechanisms and government support schemes, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial and leadership skills among women students.
