PayU’s nationwide Republic Day initiative, ‘Startup Republic’, is now underway, highlighting entrepreneurial talent from all 36 states and union territories. Launched to mark 10 years of Startup India, the campaign celebrates India’s growing startup ecosystem and emphasizes innovation beyond major metro cities.
India’s startup landscape has expanded to over 2 lakh DPIIT-recognized startups, generating employment for more than 2.1 million people. Women hold leadership positions in over 45% of these ventures, reflecting increasing gender diversity in entrepreneurship.
As part of the campaign, PayU has released a 120-second hero film and 36 five-minute documentaries, each profiling a founder from a different state or union territory. Covering sectors such as lifestyle, travel, health, and FMCG, the films explore the journeys, challenges, and aspirations of these entrepreneurs. The content is being shared across PayU’s social media channels, offering audiences a glimpse into India’s dynamic and inclusive startup ecosystem.
Vineet Sethi, Chief Growth and Marketing Officer at PayU, said, “Innovation has no zip code in India. Startup Republic celebrates founders from Ladakh to Lakshadweep, showing that every entrepreneur contributes to nation-building.”
Under a MoU with DPIIT, PayU continues to support startups with tailored payment solutions, mentorship, community access, and fundraising opportunities. Its fintech accelerator, InFiNity, has already enabled 60 startups to secure over $5 million in investments, helping founders turn ideas into scalable businesses.
