Finally, line has been cleared for the “Stella” Ship in Kakinada port. It will leave for West Africa on January 4 with a load of rice. The ship has been stuck at the Kakinada anchorage port for 48 days due to allegations of ration rice storage. Currently, the authorities are unloading the ration rice found on the ship.
The ship will sail after loading 19,785 metric tonnes of rice ready for export. AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan 'Seized the Ship' after the ration rice was found on this ship. It is known that the authorities stopped the ship for a month to determine how much ration was in the rice loaded on the ship.
Meanwhile, the Stella L Panama ship, which is anchored in the Kakinada sea, is facing all kinds of difficulties. Due to unfavourable weather conditions, the ration rice on the ship is not being brought to the shore. Due to this, the ship is not in a position to reach its destination.
Due to the impact of the cyclone on Tuesday (24th), the rice could not be brought. It has been almost a month since the Stella L Panama ship arrived at the Kakinada coast. On the information that there was ration rice in it, a team of officials inspected it on the 4th of this month and identified it.
The district collector announced on the 17th of this month that there were 1320 metric tonnes of ration rice in it. With this, the officials are trying hard to bring this rice from the huge ship through barges.
However, for the past few days, strong winds have been blowing due to the impact of the cyclone. This has increased the waves in the sea. In this context, it has become impossible to move the ration rice to the shore. Moreover, since the 26th of this month, another cyclone has delayed this process further.
After unloading the rice from this huge ship, another 12,000 metric tons of rice needs to be loaded. Only then will the ship proceed from the Kakinada Anchorage Port to the Cotonou Port in West Africa. It will take 26 days to travel from the Kakinada Anchorage Port to West Africa. The ship's officials expect that the ship will reach the Cotonou Port by the end of next January after loading.
