Supreme Court Judge inaugurates new court buildings in Chittoor

Supreme Court Judge Justice Sarasa Venkatanarayana Bhatti inaugurated four newly constructed court buildings and the judges' residential complex on Bengaluru Road in Palamaneru, Chittoor District, on Friday. The projects were completed at a cost of Rs 15.18 crore.

Justice Bhatti emphasized the importance of increasing trust in the judiciary while protecting the fundamental rights of people through laws. High Court Justice T.C.D. Sekhar and other dignitaries were also present at the event.

District Collector Sumit Kumar and SP Manikanta Chandolu welcomed the judges with a bouquet of flowers. The ceremony included a traditional purna kumbha welcome by priests and a guard of honour by the police. All-religion prayers were offered as part of the inaugural proceedings.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Bhatti, a native of Madanapalle, reflected on his long-standing connections with the district and its legal community. He recalled travelling through Palamaneru as part of his job and attending the inauguration of several courts, including the Andhra Pradesh and Kerala High Courts. He noted that the new court buildings in Palamaneru feature improved infrastructure, which will instill new enthusiasm among lawyers and confidence in the judiciary.

The event was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judge E. Bhimarao, Tirupati Third Additional District Judge Gurunath, Chittoor Additional Senior Civil Judge S.P.D. Vennela, DLSA Secretary Bharathi, Palamaneru Civil Judge Adi Narayana, Civil Judge Likhitha, Special Magistrate Radhamma, Palamaneru RDO Bhavani, and other officials.
