Switzerland’s Ambassador to India, Maya Tissafi, commended the Andhra Pradesh government's Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) during a visit to the state secretariat on Wednesday, calling it an excellent initiative and a model worth emulating by governments worldwide. “Centralized, real-time monitoring systems like RTGS are critical for responsive governance. The AP government is clearly setting an example for other Indian states,” she said.
Through this platform, citizens can access over 290 services directly from their phones, eliminating the need to visit government offices. Plans are underway to scale up to 1,000 services in the near future. Citizens can also submit applications through WhatsApp and provide feedback on the quality of services received. Highlighting RTGS’s innovative role in environmental monitoring, Prakhar Jain, the Chief Executive Officer of RTGS
said a dedicated "Aware Hub" has been set up within the system to track climate changes and deliver timely alerts to citizens. The platform is also integrating artificial intelligence to further enhance efficiency.
