TATA AIG Named as Implementing Insurance Partner PMFBY AP

Vijayawada, July 2026: TATA AIG General Insurance Company, one of India’s leading general insurers, is the implementing insurance partner for the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) in Anakapalli, Bapatla, Chittoor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, Krishna, Kurnool, NTR, Parvathipuram Manyam, and SPSR Nellore districts for the Kharif 2026 season.

The PMFBY, a flagship crop insurance scheme jointly sponsored by the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, aims to provide financial protection to farmers against crop losses arising from natural calamities, pests, and diseases. The scheme is a vital initiative to enhance the resilience of India’s agricultural sector and support income stability for farmers.

As the implementing insurance partner, TATA AIG General Insurance Company will facilitate the enrolment of farmers cultivating notified crops under the scheme. Farmers are encouraged to enrol under PMFBY to safeguard their livelihoods and mitigate the financial impact of adverse weather conditions and crop-related risks. Enrolment can be completed through banks, Common Service Centres (CSCs), or directly via the official PMFBY website.

Farmers can also check their applicable premium and complete the enrolment process before the notified cut-off dates.This initiative underscores TATA AIG’s continued commitment to supporting India’s agricultural community through innovative risk solutions and insurance awareness. By partnering in the implementation of PMFBY, the company aims to help strengthen rural resilience and promote greater awareness of crop insurance among farmers across Andhra Pradesh.
