Telangana Rashtriya Lok Dal (TRLD) president and former MLC Kapilavai Dileep Kumar, along with party leaders and workers, paid tributes to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park on the eve of Telangana Formation Day.
Addressing the gathering, Dileep Kumar accused the Congress government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of failing to fulfil election promises and misleading the people of Telangana. He alleged that the hopes with which people voted for the Congress had faded due to the government’s inability to deliver on commitments.
He claimed corruption had increased across the state and alleged misuse of public funds by leaders and officials. According to him, governance was not in line with the aspirations behind the Telangana movement.
Dileep Kumar called on people to prepare for another mass movement on the lines of the “Sakala Janula Poratam” to achieve the goals of “Nidhulu, Neellu, Niyamakalu.” He said TRLD workers had pledged to fight corruption in politics and public life.
He also announced that the party would soon launch “Lakshyam Kosam Laksha Sainyam,” a youth mobilisation initiative with the support of retired Army officers.
The TRLD leader further criticised the appointment of Keshava Rao to head the process of identifying Telangana warriors.
