Telangana Jagruthi president and BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha stated that Telangana Jagruthi will become a political training platform for youth, women, and students, aiming to empower those without a political background. Unveiling a poster of the political training program by Telangana Jagruthi, "Leader", at her residence, on Sunday, MLC Kavitha emphasized the importance of youth participation in politics.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Kavitha said Telangana is known for its questioning spirit and stressed the need to instil this trait in future generations. She announced that Telangana Jagruthi will conduct three-day political training sessions every month across the State. The first session will begin in July in Hyderabad, followed by monthly sessions in various districts starting from August.

Encouraging students, youth and women to participate in the training program, Kavitha stated the sessions would cover key topics such as the roles and responsibilities of elected representatives from sarpanches to MPs identifying public issues, resolving them, and mobilizing development funds.

Kavitha reiterated Telangana Jagruthi would continue to fight for achieving 42 % reservations for Backward Classes in local body elections. She also highlighted the significance of preparing women leaders for the upcoming parliamentary and assembly elections, especially in light of the Women’s Reservation Act, which provides 33% reservations for women. With delimitation expected to increase the number of assembly seats in Telangana to 153 and Lok Sabha seats as well, Kavitha emphasized the need for strong, well-informed leaders.
