The Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has emphasized the state’s status as the number one destination in India for both domestic and international investments. Speaking at the inauguration of Sonata Software’s new facility in Hyderabad, the CM showcased Telangana’s progress in economic growth, job creation, infrastructure development, and social welfare.

Since the Congress government assumed office in December 2023, Telangana has attracted nearly Rs 3 lakh crore in investments and created over one lakh private sector jobs. At the World Economic Forum in Davos this year, Telangana led the nation by securing Rs 1.78 lakh crore in investments. “Telangana means business,” the Chief Minister declared, citing successful outreach during global investor meets in the U.S., South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.

Highlighting Hyderabad’s emergence as a key Global Capability Centre (GCC) hub, the CM noted major expansions by tech giants such as Microsoft, Cognizant, HCL Tech, Infosys, and Wipro. The city is rapidly positioning itself as a leader in AI-ready data centres, life sciences, and manufacturing. The CM underscored Telangana’s top rankings in policing, law and order, inflation control, job creation, and tax collections, citing Government of India reports.

He also spotlighted several landmark initiatives aimed at inclusive development and future readiness including the women empowerment program, which has benefited 66 lakh women through Self-Help Groups, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme to provide funding support to lakhs of young entrepreneurs, recruiting transgender individuals as volunteers into the Hyderabad traffic force.

Revanth made a mention of construction of a dry port, featuring dedicated road and rail connectivity to a seaport in Andhra Pradesh, Future City project with a dedicated AI City, Young India Skills University, Young India Sports University, and integrated residential schools for holistic learning. Furthermore, Hyderabad’s growing global profile is reflected in its hosting of prestigious international events such as the Miss World contest, with a commitment to bringing more such events in the future, CM stressed.

“Our vision, ‘Telangana Rising’, is about balancing investments, job creation, infrastructure, and inclusive welfare,” CM Reddy said. He called on companies like Sonata Software to become brand ambassadors for Hyderabad and join in the effort to transform Telangana into a USD 1 trillion economy and make Hyderabad the world’s most amazing city.
