Minister for Women and Child Welfare Seethakka announced that the state government is implementing various initiatives to enhance Anganwadi centres in Telangana, including the upcoming recruitment of 14,000 Anganwadi teachers and helpers.
During an event at the TGIRD in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, on Saturday, the Minister presented appointment letters to 181 candidates who were selected as Grade One Supervisors by the TGPSC in the Women and Child Welfare department.
Seethakka emphasised that Anganwadi Centres do more than just provide nutritious meals; they also offer primary education to children.
"The Anganwadi centres have evolved into places of maternal care. Telangana is the only state that provides 57 different types of toys and uniforms to children at Anganwadi centres," she added.
She urged every supervisor to adhere strictly to their professional ethics, noting that each supervisor is responsible for overseeing 25 Anganwadi centres and must ensure their effective management without fail.
