D Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT & Industries, said ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing healthcare through precision surgery, faster drug discovery, and wider access. The International Conference on ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare’ by Yashoda Hospital's Hi-tech City was successful with the participation of 1000+ doctors, healthcare, policymakers and AI experts. After inaugurating the event, Minister Sridhar Babu said ‘Platforms like this are critical to building a future-ready health system that is tech-enabled, patient-centered, and inclusive.’

‘AI is no longer a promise of the future. It is actively reshaping how healthcare is delivered today. With more advancements of AI in Healthcare, It will revolutionize the Indian HealthCare Industry and Enhancing Lives of our people. AI is set to transform the entire healthcare journey right from the diagnosis and surgery to drug discovery and rural health access,’ the Minister remarked.

Gorukanti Ravinder Rao, Founder and Chairman of Yashoda Group of Hospitals, shared, ‘AI is not here to replace doctors, it’s here to empower them. At Yashoda, we are committed to investing in technologies that amplify the human touch in medicine. These technologies are empowering surgeons with enhanced accuracy and stability. AI-powered robots act as extensions of the human hand, filtering out tremors and responding instantly to visual feedback. The result will be shorter procedures, fewer complications, and faster healing for patients.’

In his keynote address, Dr. Michael D Howell, Google Chief Clinical Officer highlighted the importance of integrating AI into clinical decision-making with transparency, accountability, and empathy for the clinician-patient relationship. He said ‘AI will drastically accelerate drug discovery. Traditionally, developing a new drug can take 10–12 years and millions of dollars. Today, AI algorithms can analyze massive datasets from clinical trials to genomics to identify drug candidates in months rather than years. These advances not only speed up treatment availability but also make personalized medicine more feasible.’
