Three held in Chilkalguda robbery case

Chilkalguda Police arrested three habitual property offenders and apprehended a juvenile in connection with a robbery case, recovering the victim's mobile phone, the scooter used in the crime and cash linked to another theft.

According to police, the incident occurred on June 22 when labourer C. Raj Kumar was intercepted by four persons on a Honda Activa near Bhoiguda after buying food. The accused allegedly assaulted him, forcibly took him towards Padmaraonagar, robbed his Redmi A3X mobile phone and Rs.6,000 in cash, and abandoned him near Alugaddabavi Railway Under Bridge after threatening him.

Police identified the accused through technical analysis, surveillance and field investigation. The prime accused, Darla Nehemiah alias Brucelee (30), is a habitual interstate offender with 65 criminal cases across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Investigators said he recruited associates after being released from prison and formed a gang to commit robberies.

The other arrested accused are Dara Ashwanth (27) and Nithin Francis alias Bablu (22), while a juvenile was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. The arrested accused were remanded to judicial custody. Police reiterated their zero-tolerance policy against organised property crimes and warned habitual offenders of stringent action.
