Principal outlines a vision centered on strong academics, emerging technologies and career readiness 

Leading the institution is Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Principal of TKRCET, an academician with more than 25 years of experience spanning teaching, research and academic administration. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTU Kakinada and has held several prestigious positions including Professor, Principal, Dean, Vice Chancellor and Controller of Examinations. 

His contributions to higher education extend beyond administration. Dr. Ramaswami Reddy has published more than 75 research papers in reputed international journals, delivered over 35 guest lectures and seminars, and organized more than 25 workshops, conferences and faculty development programs. 

'AI Will Transform the Employment Landscape' 

Speaking exclusively about emerging trends in education and employment, Dr. Ramaswami Reddy stressed that artificial intelligence is expected to have a significant impact on future careers. 

"I believe AI in the coming years will take over more than 50 percent of jobs," he said, emphasizing the need for educational institutions to remain agile and responsive to industry demands. 

To address this challenge, TKR regularly updates its curriculum and incorporates AI-based combinations across various programs. According to him, the institution constantly revises syllabi to ensure students remain aligned with evolving industry expectations. 

Beyond Degrees: Building Industry-Ready Graduates 

The Principal observed that many students are increasingly choosing Computer Science Engineering without fully understanding the broader requirements of the industry. 

"Students should understand the dynamic nature of the market instead of limiting themselves to a single technology," he said. 

He pointed out that students currently undergo 15 to 20 certification programs by the end of their academic journey, helping them build practical skills in addition to classroom knowledge. Areas such as Data Science and emerging technologies are being integrated with current industry requirements. 

According to Dr. Ramaswami Reddy, academic strength remains the cornerstone of TKR's identity, and students should recognize its long-term value in building successful careers.

The Principal repeatedly stressed the importance of regularity, sincerity and discipline. 

"These are the foremost qualities students must follow," he said. 

He further explained that continuous practice and commitment are often more important than talent alone. He stated that with strong academic preparation, discipline and dedicated effort, students can make full use of the placement opportunities available through the institution. 

Faculty members begin training students from the first year itself, while industry experts engage with students in later years to provide exposure to real-world practices and expectations.

Discussing future plans, the Principal expressed confidence that the institution would achieve Deemed-to-be University status in the coming years.

While acknowledging the fluctuations in the software sector, he noted that core engineering fields continue to offer stability and encouraged students to explore opportunities in the government sector as well. 

The college's approach, he explained, involves combining AI with core engineering disciplines, creating graduates capable of adapting to future industry needs.
