Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao has voiced his frustration towards authorities who are not arriving at the office punctually and failing to fulfill their responsibilities during working hours.

On Saturday, the Minister carried out an announced inspection of the Telangana Agro Industries Development Corporation office. During this visit, he expressed dissatisfaction with the absence of certain staff members during their scheduled work hours. Tummala Nageswara Rao also inquired about the biometric attendance system implemented at the office, specifically whether attendance is being recorded via facial recognition technology or fingerprints.

He emphasised that the State government is dedicated to ensuring that all corporations within the Agriculture department operate efficiently.

Tummala Nageswara Rao revealed that Agros, which had provided services to the farmers for many years, had become inefficient and that a field visit was conducted to ensure that it was renovated and provided services to the farmers again.

He said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy toured the cyclone-affected areas and witnessed the hardships of farmers, promising to support every farmer who suffered losses due to Cyclone Motha.

Tummala Nageswara Rao revealed that the government has decided to pay crop loss compensation of Rs. 10,000 per acre.

He advised the cotton farmers to be vigilant about the moisture content and to dry the cotton carefully if they want to receive the support price.
