Two-day conference organized by Association for Computing Machinery

A two-day conference on the theme “Artificial Intelligence – Human Responsibility and Duties” was organized by the ACM Women Chapter of Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women commenced on Thursday at the college campus. The conference is being held on 19th and 20th February 2026. Dr. P. R. Anisha, ACM-W Faculty Sponsor, presided over the inaugural session.

The keynote speaker, Sonali Sirpurkar, Founder of UP Skill, emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving technological world, students must develop resilience and leadership qualities. She stated that challenges such as project failures, software bugs, tight deadlines, and competition are inevitable in computer careers. 

Another distinguished speaker, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Ashutosh Jha, Chief Strategy Officer at ACS Technologies, addressed the gathering on the importance of ethics and trust in modern computing. He highlighted that in the digital era, technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing significantly influence human lives. 

The conference also featured talks by Kushal Srivastava, Assistant Professor of Law at Woxsen University, and Manoj Kumar Durba, Associate Director – Cyber Security at KPMG India.Engineering students actively participated in a poster presentation session on Artificial Intelligence, showcasing innovative ideas and research insights.

The event was attended by the College Secretary and Correspondent  K. Krishna Rao, Management Members T. Rakesh Reddy and R. Pradeep Reddy, Dean Prof. A. Vinay Babu, Principal Dr. B. L. Raju, Administrative Officer  A. Ramesh, faculty members, and students.
